As we’ve written<\/strong><\/a> about before <\/a><\/strong>the “supergroup” dubbed New Multitudes<\/strong> (Jim James, Jay Farrar, Will Johnson<\/strong>, and Anders Parker<\/strong>), have taken a page out of the Billy Bragg\/Wilco<\/strong> songbook and released a commendable new album that combines newly-crafted music and arrangements with previously unsung Woody Guthrie<\/strong> lyrics.<\/p>\n

Today the band’s label, Rounder Records<\/strong>, has released the third in a series of videos of the highly-hirsute band playing songs unplugged from the new album.\u00a0 First check out below the newly-released Fly High<\/strong><\/em> performance featuring Anders Parker<\/strong> on lead vocals.\u00a0 And in case you missed ’em, after check out the Jim James<\/strong>-sung Talking Empty Bed Blues<\/strong><\/em>, followed by the familiar (too familiar?) vocals of Jay Farrar<\/strong> on Careless Reckless Love<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n
