The music world is in mourning after the passing of Adam Yauch<\/strong> of the Beastie Boys<\/strong> after his three-year fight with cancer.\u00a0 Check out a couple of odes\/memorials to Yauch below.<\/p>\n

First up is Coldplay’s<\/strong> covering of the Beasties’ (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party)<\/strong><\/em> last night at the Hollywood Bowl. It smacks of River<\/strong>-era Springsteen (never a bad thing), and the last 30-45 seconds will send you in particular.<\/p>\n

Following are the great Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> and The Roots<\/strong> tributes last night to Yauch, along with a flashback.\u00a0The Roots performed covers of Sure Shot, Remote Control<\/em><\/strong>, and Sabotage<\/em><\/strong> in between segments.
