There’s a new Harrison<\/strong> in a new house.\u00a0 George Harrison’s<\/strong> son Dhani<\/strong> has assembled a new musical collective entitled thenewno2<\/strong><\/a>, which has released a new album entitled The Fear of Missing Out<\/strong>.\u00a0 Dhani was also a founding member of Fistful of Mercy<\/strong>,\u00a0 with Ben Harper<\/strong> and Joseph Arthur<\/strong>. Check them out (with former Field member Thorunn Antonia<\/strong> on added vocals) playing Staring Out to Sea<\/strong><\/em> for KCRW <\/strong>and Make It Home<\/strong><\/em> on Conan<\/strong>.\u00a0 Not only does Dhani look and sound like his father at times, he also plays guitar like a cross between George<\/strong> and the late, great Bob Welch<\/strong> (check it at 2:10 on the first video below of\u00a0Staring Out to Sea<\/strong><\/em>).\u00a0 Newly added<\/strong><\/em>:\u00a0 video of the band performing I Won’t Go<\/strong><\/em> at Amoeba Records<\/strong> in Hollywood yesterday.\u00a0 If you like what you see and hear, you can tentatively stream the band’s new, multifaceted album over at NPR<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
