{"id":11858,"date":"2012-08-21T19:10:35","date_gmt":"2012-08-22T03:10:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/?p=11858"},"modified":"2012-08-21T19:10:35","modified_gmt":"2012-08-22T03:10:35","slug":"feist-heavy-check-out-feistadon","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/2012-08\/feist-heavy-check-out-feistadon\/","title":{"rendered":"Feist-Heavy:  Check Out Feistadon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is starting out to be a very <strong>Feisty<\/strong> week for us.\u00a0 First, the multi-talented femme simply slayed Sunday night on the <strong>From the Basement<\/strong> broadcast (check back for that video&#8211;not to be missed).\u00a0 And we&#8217;ve been off the grid and have been playing catch-up with the world.\u00a0 We just discovered that Feist is dabbling deliciously in the world of heavy metal.\u00a0 We&#8217;ll admit that metal isn&#8217;t the first genre we reach for in the morning (or at night) for listening pleasure.\u00a0 While we grew up on the thrash of &#8217;70s punk music from NYC, London and LaLaLand (in that chronological order), we nonetheless have not given metal much mental bandwidth.\u00a0 Historically, the rare lyrical intelligence (a primary driver for us) in metal, coupled with the seeming (we admit ignorance, ye metal experts) monotony of the sound has pushed us away.
