Justin Vernon<\/strong> must just have songs laying around.\u00a0 Either that or he appreciates choral music?\u00a0 Or maybe it’s just that he’s gotten wrapped up in the buzz about The Silver Lake Chorus<\/a><\/strong> and their choral arrangements of indie music.\u00a0 Produced by Ben Lee<\/strong>, their debut album features original songs written especially for TSLC by indie artists such as Justin Vernon (Bon Iver), Carl Newman (The New Pornographers), Aimee Mann, Sia, The Bird & The Bee, Tegan & Sarah<\/strong>, and Of Montreal<\/strong>.\u00a0 They are led by artistic director Sam Rader<\/strong> and music director Mikey Wells<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The group is now self-releasing From The Snow Tipped Hills<\/strong><\/em>, written for them by Justin Vernon of Bon Iver<\/strong>, & Wreckage<\/strong><\/em>, written for them by A.C. Newman of The New Pornographers<\/strong>, both available online September 14.<\/p>\n
