We wrote yesterday of Field Report<\/strong><\/a> and their unplugged-in-a-loo performance of their great song Fergus Falls<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Now comes the band captured in dapper attire in studio by The Halfway House<\/strong><\/a>, which reminds that Field Report is “the current project of Chris Porterfield \u2013 formerly of DeYarmond Edison<\/strong>(with Justin Vernon\/Bon Iver<\/strong> and members of Megafaun<\/strong>).\u00a0 He was also the mastermind behind Conrad Plymouth<\/strong>.”<\/p>\n

Field Report<\/strong> has rightfully been gaining notoriety, recently touring with Emmylou Harris<\/strong> and Counting Crows<\/strong>.\u00a0 The band will release it’s eponymous debut album on 9\/11 on Partisan Records, which was recorded in Justin Vernon’s studio<\/strong>.\u00a0 Check out a couple of fine new, pedal-steel aided songs (Captain Video and Taking Alcatraz) off the new album below.<\/p>\n
