The fresh-faced Swedish sisters, First Aid Kit<\/strong><\/a>, have come a long way (baby).\u00a0 It was only a few years ago that the prescient John Hawkes<\/strong> (no, not THAT one) was attempting to entice Johanna and Klara S\u00f6derbergthem<\/strong> (while they were touring through Cali) to play a house-party at his Santa Barbara house.\u00a0 Unfortunately for the neighborhood, the young sisters’ correctly-protective father was suspicious of the inquiry and graciously passed.\u00a0 A couple years later now, and they have been killing the world quietly with their song.<\/p>\n

What began as a pull-yourselves-up-by-your-You-Tube<\/strong> act, has garnered the attention of scene-makers Jack White<\/strong> and Conor Oberst<\/strong>, been produced by make-magic producer Mike Mogis<\/strong>, and gone on to regale at music festivals around the world.\u00a0 Their 2012 sophomore album, Lion’s Roar<\/strong>, has also been a critical and commercial success.<\/p>\n
