So I&#8217;ve asked:<br \/>\nwho am I, why am I here, if a train<br \/>\nleaving Chicago is subsidized<br \/>\nby the feds, is the romance of travel<br \/>\ndead? I&#8217;d like the skinny on where I&#8217;ll be<br \/>\nwhen I die, to have a map, a seismic map<br \/>\nof past and future emotions, to be told<br \/>\nhow to keep the violence I do to myself<br \/>\nfrom becoming the grenades I pitch<br \/>\nat others. The likes of Snoop.com<br \/>\nnever get back to me, though I need<br \/>\nto know most of all if any of this helps.<br \/>\nHow we can scatter our prayers so wide,<br \/>\nif we&#8217;ve become more human or less<br \/>\nin being able to share the specific<br \/>\nin a random way, or was it better<br \/>\nto ask the stars for peace or rain,<br \/>\nto trust the litany of our need<br \/>\nto the air&#8217;s imperceptible embrace? Just<br \/>\nthis morning I got a message<br \/>\nasking is anyone out there.
