It’s Friday, and…well, not so much.\u00a0 We know too many out there in throes, dispirited and arc-less.\u00a0 And the relentless gray is our tailspinner.\u00a0 Convenient, then, that we stumbled anew upon Andrew Bird’s Take<\/em> Courage<\/strong>, and were taken down and lifted up.\u00a0 Take Courage<\/strong> <\/em>was a bonus track from Bird’s <\/strong>2009 album Noble Beast<\/strong>.\u00a0 Check out the studio version of the song immediately below, and after, two live performances–one well-recorded (audio anyway), and one well-captured (video anyway–at the Guggenheim).\u00a0 And know that you’re not alone.\u00a0 The song’s lyrics precede the videos.\u00a0 And if you need more convincing, let Mavis Staples<\/strong> and Jeff Tweedy<\/strong> provide further assurance HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
