Short Film Featuring Kathleen Edwards"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Unbeknownst to us, in 2010 <strong>Kathleen Edwards<\/strong> and a host of Canadian musicians were featured in short film <a href=\"http:\/\/www.imdb.com\/title\/tt1732611\/combined\"><strong>Dead Flowers\u00a0<\/strong><\/a> (written, produced and directed by <strong>Ryan Furlong<\/strong>) in which <strong>Edwards<\/strong> &#8220;plays an unhappily married woman who finds herself in the presence of two manipulative grifters (<strong>Tim Gibbons<\/strong> &amp; <strong>Tom Wilson<\/strong>) and becomes overwhelmed by the possibility of something more than the safety of her suburban life with her husband (<strong>Mat Willson).<\/strong>&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Check out below a recently released trailer for the film that features the stellar song <em><strong>Break Your Body<\/strong><\/em> by Canadian band <a href=\"http:\/\/latentrecordings.com\/leeharveyosmond\/\"><strong>LeE HARVeY OsMOND <\/strong><\/a>(led by <strong>Tom Wilson<\/strong>).\u00a0 The video and song serve as an announcement that the band will soon release their second album of &#8220;acid folk,&#8221; <strong>The Folk Sinner<\/strong> (which you can stream <a href=\"http:\/\/music.cbc.ca\/#\/artists\/LeE-HARVeY-OsMOND\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>).\u00a0 The new album was produced by <strong>Michael Timmins (Cowboy Junkies)<\/strong> and features guest artists such as <strong>Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies), Hawksley Workman, Colin Linden, Oh Suzanna, Andy Maize, Paul Reddick<\/strong>, who are portions of\u00a0<strong>Cowboy Junkies, The Sadies, Skydiggers<\/strong>, and <strong>Blackie And The Rodeo Kings.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Check out the video and song below in which the band&#8217;s <strong>Tom Wilson<\/strong> and <strong>Hawksley Workman<\/strong> trade singing leads in fine fashion, and sax, horns and vibraphone fill in nicely in the spare arrangement.\u00a0 The song&#8217;s lyrics follow the video.\u00a0 Oh, and <strong>Kathleen Edwards<\/strong> acquits herself quite well (as usual) in the film.\u00a0 Spooky good.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"LeE HARVeY OsMOND- Break Your Body with HAWKSLEY WORKMAN (Directed by RYAN FURLONG)\" width=\"635\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/HZU5IAXsiZk?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
