Bryce and Aaron Dessner<\/strong> continue to give back to their native Ohio.\u00a0 Each year the Dessners<\/strong> and friends present the magical Music Now Festival <\/strong><\/a>in Cincinnati<\/strong>.\u00a0 We would give our senseless minds to attend each year.\u00a0 This year’s Music Now<\/strong> will run from April 12th to 14th,<\/strong> and the Saturday night of Glen Hansard, The Brooklyn Youth Chorus<\/strong> and Shara Worden (My Brightest Diamond)<\/strong> boggles the mind from afar.<\/p>\n

Last year’s MNF<\/strong> was no exception, including the likes of This Is The Kit<\/strong> <\/a>and other kindred souls meeting within the zips and zones of Cincinnati.\u00a0 Check out This Is The Kit<\/strong><\/strong> (rightfully raved over by Sharon Van Etten, Elbow’s Guy Garvey, The National<\/strong>, etc.) as they call forth a demon or angel three in their performance below (which includes a deft and soulful slide segment from Aaron<\/strong> Dessner<\/strong> and Arcade Fire\u2019s Richard Reed Parry<\/b>).\u00a0 The performance was produced by A Story Told Well<\/strong> & Music Now<\/strong> for La Blogoth\u00e8que.<\/strong><\/p>\n

And blessed are those who see and are silent.\u00a0 Indeed (must aspire)<\/em>.\u00a0 We’ve been getting most mightily filthy.\u00a0 Mud marks up to our necks.\u00a0 And they did unfold, and the wind it did fill them in the wind.\u00a0 And so the outside bashes us in.\u00a0 Feel it tugging you, ploughing you flat; then feel it filling your sails and warm on your back.\u00a0 Life.<\/em><\/p>\n

This Is The Kit<\/strong> is working on its next album, which will hopefully be released later this year, with Aaron Dessner producing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
