Yoni Wolf<\/strong>, of\u00a0the fantastic and fantastically under-appreciated band Why?,<\/strong><\/a> is one of our favorite lyricists-songwriters.\u00a0 A few years back Why?<\/strong> unleashed a stentorian, stereophonic one-two via their twinned-albums, Alopecia<\/strong> and Eskimo Snow<\/strong>.\u00a0 In late 2012 Why?<\/strong> released another one-two via their Sod in the Seed <\/strong>EP and new album Mumps, Etc.<\/strong>, both of which have added greatly to their beguiling discography.\u00a0 The band is now located in Wolf’s native Cincinnati after a long stint in Oakland, and is now out on tour<\/strong><\/a> in support of Mumps, Etc<\/strong>.\u00a0 We’ll write more soon about this great band and, in particular, the weight and worth of Wolf’s wordsmithing<\/strong>, but to get a feel for Wolf and the band check out the vignette below of them performing their song Shag Carpet<\/strong><\/em> on Minneapolis’ Radio K<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
