scene.\u00a0 <strong>Wilco, Bon Iver, Grizzly Bear, My Morning Jacket, Bright Eyes,The Walkmen, Band of Horses, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.likepioneers.com\/\">Like Pioneers<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/Buellton\">Buellton<\/a><\/strong>, etc.\u00a0 That said, national treasures <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanmary.com\/\"><strong>The National<\/strong><\/a> returned to television last night on the <strong>Jimmy Fallon Show<\/strong> and reasserted their claim as the best American band on the scene, and particularly live.\u00a0 The original-Brooklyn band will soon release their sixth studio album, <strong>Trouble Will Find Me, <\/strong>and are hitting the tour trail soon in support.\u00a0 We can&#8217;t wait to catch them at the <strong>Greek Theater<\/strong> in LA in August.\u00a0 It&#8217;s gonna be a hot August night.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the new album and tour, <strong>The National<\/strong> will also soon release a new documentary film by <strong>Tom Berninger<\/strong> (Matt&#8217;s younger brother), <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&amp;v=FUjBue7XggQ\"><strong>Mistaken for Strangers, <\/strong><\/a>and will put on their annual music festival, <strong>Crossing Brooklyn Ferry. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>But last night the band was on a mission on <strong>Fallon<\/strong>.\u00a0 Check them out below as they played two new songs off the new album:\u00a0 <strong>Sea of Love<\/strong> and a web-only rendering of <em><strong>I Need My Girl<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 Their live dynamic is vividly seen on <em><strong>Sea of Love,<\/strong><\/em> which started out great and ramped up from there (watch at 2:20 and 3:14 and thereafter, as the band continuously lifted the love swell).\u00a0 Oh my.\u00a0 Check &#8217;em both below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trouble Will Find Me\u00a0<\/strong>will be released on May 21st on 4AD, and will include contributions by the likes of such Brooklyn neighbors as\u00a0<strong>Sufjan Stevens<\/strong>,\u00a0<strong>Sharon Van Etten and <\/strong>Annie Clark (St. Vincent).\u00a0 You can pre-order the new album <a href=\"http:\/\/www.americanmary.com\/\"><strong>HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nbc.com\/assets\/video\/widget\/widget.html?vid=n35952\" height=\"425\" width=\"625\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.nbc.com\/assets\/video\/widget\/widget.html?vid=n35948\" height=\"425\" width=\"625\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There are some phenomenal American bands currently on the &#8220;indie&#8221;
