Tragedy struck the band while out on tour in 2010 when <strong>Michael Been<\/strong>, band-member <strong>Robert Levon Been&#8217;s<\/strong> father and BRMC\u2019s longtime sound engineer, passed away suddenly. You oldsters will recall that the elder Been was a member of the popular \u201980s rock group <strong>The Call<\/strong>. Watch below as they pay homage on <strong>KEXP<\/strong> (filmed in apropos black-and-white) to <strong>Michael Been<\/strong> by performing <strong>The Call&#8217;s<\/strong> powerful song <em><strong>Let The Day Begin<\/strong><\/em>.
