While there, <strong>Van Etten<\/strong> performed an unplugged version of her trembling new song <em><strong>Tarifa<\/strong> <\/em>for <strong>KEXP<\/strong>.\u00a0 Van Etten explained the song thus:\u00a0 &#8220;this next song is about a vacation, it\u2019s a new one that we\u2019ve been working on, it\u2019s call Tarifa\u2026.it\u2019s [in Spain] on a f!@$ing cliff overlooking Morocco, \u00a0but it is amazing \u2013 in the middle of nowhere. There was a bunch of bulls, that I was afraid of, in the pasture next to me, but they could give a shit that I was there. They didn\u2019t try to run me over or anything weird. I had to ask my boyfriend, I was like \u2018can I wear red? Are they gonna charge at me?\u2019 They didn\u2019t. I tried it out. It was fine. Anyway, this song is about that.\u201d Go figure.<\/p>\n<p>After, listen to one of her best, <em><strong>Give Out<\/strong><\/em>.
