Janelle Mon\u00e1e<\/strong> has released her second album The Electric Lady<\/em><\/strong> and let the world know by seizing the Letterman Show<\/strong> stage and Dave’s desk<\/strong> last night to perform Dance Apocalyptic<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Mon\u00e1e<\/strong> raged around the studio in front of her 8-piece band in white and striped get-ups (with token conga player), cavorting with the cameras and Paul Shaffer<\/strong> before jumping up on Letterman’s desk <\/strong>and letting loose.\u00a0 She then slammed a mic stand down and walked out the doors in a tour de force performance.<\/p>\n

Before she came out, Letterman told the audience to \u201cGet ready, and get ready again\u201d for Mon\u00e1e <\/strong>because the last time she had been on his show (her TV debut) she had “turned the dump over.”\u00a0 Once again Letterman<\/strong> knew what he was talking about, and afterwards he equated her to the likes of James Brown <\/strong>when he pronounced her “the hardest working woman in show business.”\u00a0 Spot on.\u00a0 Check it out below.<\/p>\n
