We caught The Waterboys’<\/a> leader Mike Scott<\/strong> and violinist Steve Wickham<\/strong> at Hardly Strictly Bluegrass<\/strong> a week ago, and it was one of the highlights of HSB.<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0 Once again we were reminded how much\u00a0Mike Scott’s<\/strong> delivery always connects, and especially when enhanced by Wickham’s<\/strong> playing.\u00a0 At HSB<\/strong> they played some of the band’s greats (Fisherman Blues, Raggle Taggle Gypsy<\/strong><\/em>, etc.), and left us wanting more.\u00a0 After HSB<\/strong>, the band continued on their tour of North America and Europe<\/strong><\/a>, alighting in Portland after San Francisco.\u00a0 While in Portland, they performed at KINK Radio<\/strong>.\u00a0 For a good feel (and sample of Wickham’s<\/strong> playing), check out their performance of Mad As The Mist and Snow below.\u00a0 If you want more of the KINK<\/strong> session, go HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
