Indianapolis folk duo Lily & Madeleine<\/a><\/strong> had their song In The Middle<\/strong><\/em> go viral on YouTube<\/strong> last year, resulting in their signing to Asthmatic Kitty<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 The duo has now announced the release of their self-titled debut album on October 29th via Asthmatic Kitty<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 The first track to be released is Devil We Know<\/strong><\/em>, and it has mesmerized us.\u00a0 In the songs’ lyrics we hear wisdom that belies their age, and their vocals coalesce perfectly (as you would expect from sisters).\u00a0 As has been said about the subjects of their songs and the new album:\u00a0 “\u201cThese songs are an expression of youth as all Romantic poetry knows it to be: a repository of yearning and wisdom that will eventually have to do battle with the world in order to retain its luster.\u201d<\/p>\n
