One of the primary driving forces in modern electronic<\/strong> music for fifteen-plus years has been the artist Moby<\/strong>. We were pleasantly\u00a0 surprised, then, to find the vignette below of Moby<\/strong> and band performing unplugged<\/strong> the beautifully-deceptive The Perfect Life<\/strong><\/em> on WNYC<\/strong>.\u00a0 It seems Moby<\/strong> is open to multiple musical avenues. Case in point: his superb new album Innocents<\/strong><\/em> on which he concentrates on collaborations with other musical consorts (Damien Jurado, Al Spx, Wayne Coyne, Mark Lanegan<\/strong>, etc.) and enlists his first non-Moby producer Mark “Spike” Stent<\/strong>.\u00a0 The results are stunningly good.<\/p>\n

Watch below as Moby<\/strong> limns Bowie a bit and the group emits ebullience and a perfect sound despite the imperfect life imparted lyrically (set forth in full at bottom).<\/p>\n
