We have found ourselves holding t0ugh recently in the court of Joseph Arthur<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Arthur<\/strong> has been on a roll, with his paint-by-music performances<\/strong><\/a> and other offerings.\u00a0 Comes now JA<\/strong> has co-opted Mike Mills (REM)<\/strong> and Bill Dobrow<\/strong> for a new leg of his tour entitled The Ballad of Boogie Christ Act 2<\/strong>.\u00a0 This band is an animal of a different color, with Arthur, Mills<\/strong> and Dobrow<\/strong> together limning the archetypal blues-boogie-rock trios of the ’60s and early ’70s.\u00a0 Check it out below when the threesome hits its stride in Pennsylvania last Thursday on I Am The Witness<\/strong><\/em>, with Arthur<\/strong> and Mills<\/strong> bouncin’ bass-guitar lines and vocals off of one another.\u00a0 It’s a throwback pleasure to behold.<\/p>\n
