In all honesty, this is our first awareness of the singer-songwriter JBM<\/strong><\/a>\u2014AKA Jesse B. Marchant<\/strong>.\u00a0 Shame on us.\u00a0 Regardless, there can be no better intro to the classically-trained artist’s music than via director Houmam Abdallah’s<\/strong> official video (via Nowness<\/strong><\/a>) for JBM’s<\/strong> song Only Now.\u00a0 <\/strong><\/em>The song is off of his 2012 Stray Ashes<\/strong><\/em> album, which was written and recorded in a Bon Iver<\/strong>-esque studio that Marchant<\/strong> set up in a rented house in upstate NY.\u00a0 We love everything about the song and video, not least of which are the\u00a0 Northern Scotland environs.\u00a0 And who doesn’t like a good steam train?<\/p>\n
