We went down the rabbit-hole this week, revisiting Curtis Mayfield’s<\/strong> underrated Superfly<\/em> <\/strong>soundtrack, Bob Marley’s<\/strong> obscure Tuff Gong<\/strong> catalog and, finally, Marvin Gaye’s<\/strong> back-catalog.\u00a0 All stupendous.\u00a0 The song that got stuck on repeat, however, was Gaye’s<\/strong> Trouble Man<\/strong><\/em>, taken from the 1972 film’s soundtrack.\u00a0 We love everything about Gaye<\/strong>, but this (eponymous, it turns out) song in particular.\u00a0 His soulful scat interlude at 2:12 forward is all-time.\u00a0 Marvin<\/strong>, you are sorely, sorely missed.\u00a0 See you on the otherside.<\/p>\n
