One of our favorite recent discoveries is Australian artist Courtney Barnett<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0After wrapping up roundly-praised performances at Corpchella<\/strong> last week, Barnett\u00a0<\/strong>will heading out on the road for more shows (see list at bottom).\u00a0 In between all the comings and goings, last night Barnett<\/strong> made her US television debut on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon<\/strong> and performed the scintillating single Avant Gardener<\/strong><\/em> off her critically-acclaimed album, The Double EP: A Sea Of Split Peas<\/strong><\/em> (Mom + Pop Music<\/strong>).\u00a0 Check it out below.\u00a0 As we’ve said before<\/strong><\/a>, we love Barnett’s<\/strong> deadpan delivery and lyrics that elevate everyday events into epiphanic epigrams.\u00a0 All of which shines through on Fallon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
