It’s been a caffeinated couple of months over at Chez Lefort<\/strong>.\u00a0 As we’ve written repeatedly<\/strong><\/a>, we are hopeless addicted to the music of duo Sylvan Esso<\/strong><\/a>, and in particular their track Coffee<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0\u00a0 Now, combine that great cut with a masterful remix by Helado Negro<\/strong><\/a> (whose track Dance Ghost<\/strong><\/em><\/a> was one of our favorite finds of last year) and you have a scintillating musical brew indeed.\u00a0 About Helado Negro’s<\/strong> remix, Sylvan Esso’s Nick Sanborn<\/strong> told the New York Times<\/strong><\/a>:\u00a0 “Hearing one of your own songs remixed is such a surreal experience. It can be both jarring and revelatory, but we loved it. Helado Negro\u2019s<\/strong> version is such a beautiful, drifting, pastoral reinterpretation, and we couldn\u2019t be happier.\u201d\u00a0 We couldn’t agree more.\u00a0 Check it out below.<\/p>\n
