As we’ve written<\/strong><\/a>, Britain’s classically-trained Anna Calvi<\/strong><\/a> is one of the most talented and dynamic artists to emerge in recent years.\u00a0 Calvi<\/strong> will next month release (on Domino<\/strong>) a five-track covers EP entitled Strange Weather<\/strong><\/em> featuring covers of songs by David Bowie, Keren Ann, Suicide<\/strong>, and inventive newcomers FKA Twigs<\/strong><\/a> and Connan Mockasin<\/strong>.\u00a0 This week Calvi<\/strong> released the outstanding official video for the title track, a cover of the Keren Ann<\/strong> original, on which Calvi has teamed up with some dude named David Byrne<\/strong>.\u00a0 The cover is stunningly beautiful (who knew Byrne<\/strong> could falsetto so well?) and the video is a heart-rending ‘scape of New York City.\u00a0 Check it out below.\u00a0 And after listen to the EP’s opening track, a unique new take on the mesmerizing FKA Twigs’<\/strong> Papi Pacify<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 You can pre-order Strange Weather<\/strong><\/em> HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
