David Letterman<\/strong> finished the week strong in the music realm.\u00a0 On Wednesday Swedish folk duo\u00a0First Aid Kit<\/strong> showed up in support of their newly-released album Stay Gold<\/em> <\/strong>(produced by\u00a0Bright Eyes<\/strong> producer<\/em> Mike Mogis<\/strong><\/span>) and performed their outstanding new song My Silver Lining<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Listen as these gold-embossed gals sing like the angels (so much so that Letterman advised the sisters that he is moving to Stockholm and “would be happy to run errands”).<\/p>\n

And then last night Letterman<\/strong> had on the incomparably talented Janelle Mon\u00e1e<\/strong>.\u00a0 With the World Cup<\/strong> starting yesterday, Mon\u00e1e’s<\/strong> performance was timed to coincide with her Pepsi-sponsored, World Cup-themed take on Bowie\u2019s Heroes<\/em><\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Mon\u00e1e\u2019s good-footed<\/strong> performance is, as always, a gigantic joy to behold.<\/p>\n

Bring on that World Cup!<\/p>\n
