a few more.\u00a0 Tonight and tomorrow night one of our favorite bands of the 21st century, Brooklyn&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/antlersmusic.com\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>The Antlers<\/strong><\/a>, plays sold out shows at the <strong>Troubadour<\/strong> in LA (with <strong>Yellow Ostrich<\/strong>).\u00a0 Regretfully, we won&#8217;t be in attendance.\u00a0 Not many bands (save <strong>The National<\/strong> and <strong>Bon Iver<\/strong>, amongst a few others) can stir our souls like <strong>The Antlers<\/strong>.\u00a0 Their heavy new album <em><strong>Familiars<\/strong><\/em> will undoubtedly end high-up on our <strong>Best Albums of 2014<\/strong> tabulations.\u00a0 On <em><strong>Familiars<\/strong><\/em> and now live, in addition to <strong>Peter Silberman&#8217;s<\/strong> superb falsetto, lyricism and playing, the band has thankfully added atmospheric horns (via the killing <strong>Kelly Pratt<\/strong> of Beirut and the band&#8217;s multi-talented, multi-instrumentalist, arranger <strong>Darby Cicci<\/strong>) to superb, jazz-infused effect.\u00a0 Watch below as this fine ensemble pierced the veil on <a href=\"http:\/\/kexp.org\/\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>KEXP<\/strong><\/a> this past week.<\/p>\n<p>Do yourselves a favor and pick up<em> <strong>Familiars<\/strong><\/em> immediately <a
