We’ve all been thrilled by Jack White’s<\/strong><\/a> incendiary electronic guitar flourishes<\/a>, but his enthralling unplugged performances have become even rarer these days.\u00a0 Today France’s fanastique La Blogoth\u00e8que<\/strong> <\/a>remedied this conundrum by releasing (on its A Take Away Show<\/strong><\/em> series) a special vignette filmed at the Ch\u00e2teau de Fountainebleau<\/strong> of White, Lillie Mae Rische, Dominic Davis <\/strong>and Fats Kaplin<\/strong> unplugged and performing two gems from White’s treasure-trove discography.\u00a0 Watch below as White and ensemble first perform the older White Stripes’<\/strong> track The Same Boy You’ve Always Known<\/strong><\/em> (beginning perfectly with the chapel bells’ harmony starting at 0:36).\u00a0 This performance segues to the rooftop where White<\/strong> and Rische<\/strong> render a superb version of the castigating Entitlement<\/strong><\/em> off of his much-acclaimed recent album, Lazaretto<\/em><\/strong>.\u00a0 Well-played (and sung) Mr. White, and well-captured La Blogoth\u00e8que<\/strong>.\u00a0 Bravo!<\/p>\n
