It’s been a rare throwback week on The Lefort Report<\/strong>, featuring the imprimatur throughout of the greatest, Bob Dylan<\/strong>.\u00a0 Between last weekend’s The New Basement Tapes’ <\/strong>performance<\/a>, and two new, Dylan-esque <\/strong>songs by Bonnie “Prince” Billie<\/a> and Houndmouth<\/a>, <\/strong>it’s been a downright Robert Zimmerman <\/strong>week.\u00a0 <\/strong>To finish it off, we give you below two more performances by\u00a0The New Basement Tapes<\/strong> (Marcus Mumford, Dawes\u2019 Taylor Goldsmith, Elvis Costello, My Morning Jacket\u2019s Jim James<\/strong>, and Carolina Chocolate Drops\u2019 Rhiannon Giddens<\/strong>), who were recently brought together by producer T-Bone Burnett<\/strong> to add musical life to a collection of previously lost, circa-Basement Tapes<\/strong> lyrics by Dylan.<\/strong><\/p>\n
