As we’ve been writing<\/strong><\/a> since September, Damien Rice <\/strong><\/a>has just released his first album in eight years, the critically-acclaimed My Favourite Faded Fantasy<\/em><\/strong>. From what we’ve heard, we are in complete agreement with said critics.\u00a0 Last night Rice<\/strong> showed up on the Letterman Show<\/strong> and performed his resplendent I Don\u2019t Want To Change You<\/strong><\/em> off the new album. Watch below as Rice<\/strong> eschewed a backing band in favor of a seven-piece string section (which meshes nicely with the obligatory singer-songwriter rug).\u00a0 We love this song and performance.<\/p>\n

Rice<\/strong> also has announced more North American<\/strong> tour dates for next year (in Oakland<\/strong> and LA<\/strong> on 4\/23 and 4\/24, respectively).\u00a0 You can see the dates HERE<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n
