At least once a year we sincerely wish we hailed from Cincinnati<\/strong> or parts nearby.\u00a0 Each year for the past ten years, Bryce Dessner of The National<\/strong> and his musical cohorts have put on the highly-regarded MusicNOW Festival <\/strong>in Dessner’s<\/strong> native Cincinnati.\u00a0 This year MusicNOW<\/strong> will celebrate its 10th year<\/strong> from March 11-15<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.\u00a0 To celebrate the occasion, the album MusicNOW-10 Years<\/strong> will be released on March 10th<\/strong> to highlight some of best moments from the Festiva<\/strong>l.<\/p>\n

Amongst others, the 16- track album<\/strong> highlights festival-only performances such as Justin Vernon’s<\/strong> cover of Sharon Van Etten’s Love More<\/em><\/strong>, Grizzly Bear’s While You Wait for the Others<\/em><\/strong>, the premiere of Sufjan Stevens’ The Owl & The Tanager<\/em>,<\/strong> as well as other collaborations featuring Justin Vernon, Sharon van Etten, Owen Pallet<\/strong> and Dirty Projectors<\/strong>.\u00a0 You can view the entire tracklist at bottom.<\/p>\n

Today, MusicNOW<\/strong> has offered up for our listening pleasure the Sounds of the South’s<\/strong> track Trials, Troubles, Tribulations<\/strong><\/em> (an American bluegrass gospel song written by Estil C. Ball<\/strong>) featuring Sharon Van Etten, Justin Vernon, Matthew E White, Megafaun<\/strong>, and Fight the Big Bull<\/strong>.\u00a0 Check it out below.<\/p>\n
