Warpaint’s<\/strong><\/a> sophomore, eponymously-titled album was one of last year’s\u00a0 gems, and we’ve been anxiously awaiting subsequent sounds since.<\/p>\n

Thankfully the female quartet has returned with an outstanding new track entitled No Way Out (Redux) <\/strong><\/em>(which this superb live band has played live before).\u00a0 We love everything about the song–the reverberant opening, the ghosted harmonies, the constant and layered build, the chorus yelps, the tasteful, Factory<\/strong>-esque guitar-play, the martial drumming from 1:25 on, the shimmering outro–everything!\u00a0 Go ahead–put it on repeat.\u00a0 And disappear completely.\u00a0 It’s early, but let’s just call it now:\u00a0 it’s our Song of the Week<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Warpaint<\/strong> plays in LA this Saturday<\/strong><\/a> and will thereafter head out on a European tour next month.
