always miss the comings and goings of one of our favorite female artists, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.eleanorfriedberger.com\/news-by-instagram\" target=\"_blank\"><strong>Eleanor Friedberger<\/strong><\/a>.\u00a0 Thankfully, that particular drought is soon to get doused.\u00a0 <strong>Ms. Friedberger<\/strong> plays <strong>Velvet Jones<\/strong> in an early show tomorrow night (6pm).\u00a0 If you don&#8217;t know <strong>Friedberger<\/strong>, she and her brother were\/are critic&#8217;s darlings (justly) seemingly forever as comprised in <strong>The Fiery Furnaces<\/strong>.\u00a0 While we respected that collaboration, we have truly loved <strong>Friedberger&#8217;s<\/strong> more melodic, <strong>post-Furnaces<\/strong> solo recordings.\u00a0 If you&#8217;re not familiar with them, <strong>Friedberger&#8217;s<\/strong> albums <em><strong>Last Summer<\/strong> <\/em>and <em><strong>Personal Record <\/strong><\/em>(the latter being one of our particular favorites), are incredibly well-wrought pop gems, with intelligent lyrics, grabbing melodies and superb playing throughout.\u00a0 To get a feel, check out some of our favorite songs of hers
