Earlier this year, L.A.’s Americana singer-songwriter Holland Belle<\/a><\/strong> released her EP Wanderlust<\/i><\/strong>. \u00a0To get a feel, Belle<\/strong> has now released a superbly produced video for her revenant song,\u00a0Lovely Ghost<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

About the song, Belle<\/strong> has said: \u00a0\u201cI wrote this song during a time where I was struggling to cope with and move on from past heartache. \u00a0It\u2019s not completely about one event, more so it\u2019s about the walls I slowly continued to build every time I was hurt. \u00a0It made me unable to move on and make healthy choices because these same walls that protect you also hold you back, and put you in an unhealthy cycle. \u00a0You make the same mistakes over and over. \u00a0To me, it was like being haunted by the past.”<\/p>\n

About the video, Belle<\/strong> says that director James Pillion’s<\/strong> choice to shoot the video in and around the Salton Sea “served to represent a sort of purgatory for the storyteller. \u00a0She\u2019s forced to wander until she can find, and confront the thing that\u2019s keeping her there. For me it was a way of showing how we all get trapped in our minds, and in our pain. \u00a0And until we find a way to confront that pain, we will never heal and move forward.\u201d<\/p>\n
