The outpouring for David Bowie<\/strong> continues unabated. In this device-induced, ADHD (“squirrel!!”)-excused era, the staying-power of Bowie-remembrance<\/strong>\u00a0is remarkable.<\/p>\n

Some appear to have been prescient in their tributes. Or they just may have had good taste. Regardless, this past December Lefort<\/strong>-favorites Chuck Prophet<\/a><\/strong> and Stephanie Finch<\/strong> performed the song Sorrow<\/strong><\/em>, one of Bowie’s<\/strong> hand-picked covers for his much-loved covers album Pin Ups<\/strong><\/em>. Sorrow<\/strong><\/em> was originally written in 1965 by Feldman-Goldstein-Gottehrer\u00a0<\/strong>and recorded by The Merseys<\/strong>. \u00a0It\u00a0remains a gem. Chuck\u00a0Prophet<\/strong> most recently released a singles collection of his critically-acclaimed 2014 album Night Surfer\u00a0<\/strong><\/em>(pick it up HERE<\/a><\/strong>), and will head out on a mini-tour in April. \u00a0We’re thrilled that Prophet<\/strong> will stop in at the Lobero Theater<\/strong> in Santa Barbara on April 23rd with his let-’em-know band, The\u00a0Mission Express<\/strong>. \u00a0We last caught Prophet, Finch<\/strong> and The Mission Express<\/strong> at the Make-Out Room<\/strong> last October (a year after this don’t-miss-it annual show<\/a><\/strong>), and it was one of the best shows of 2015<\/strong>.
