While scanning the radio two weeks ago, we heard what sounded like a new track from the great\u00a0Bill Withers<\/strong>. This was shocking since\u00a0Withers<\/strong>\u00a0retired from music-making in 1985. So when the DJ came on to say the song was not Bill Withers<\/strong>, but instead\u00a0Andrew Bird’s<\/strong><\/a> new song Capsized<\/strong><\/em>, we were taken aback.\u00a0Capsized<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0was the first song released off of the talented\u00a0Bird’s<\/strong> impending new album,\u00a0Are You Serious<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(due out on April 1st, cover above). When we next heard Bird’s\u00a0<\/strong>Capsized<\/strong><\/em>, in all honesty we dismissed it as being too derivative for our nostalgia-averse tastes.
