Where have we been??!! We were happily drowning deep, deep, and deeper in A<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Moon Shaped Pool<\/strong> <\/em>when Janelle Mon\u00e1e<\/strong>\u00a0suddenly pulled us out and revived us. \u00a0“Mo” Monae<\/strong>\u00a0completely resuscitated us with St. Beauty’s<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>newly-released song\u00a0Holographic Lover<\/em><\/strong>. And now, for reasons that will sound apparent below, we are completely smitten with this duo, which has signed with Mon\u00e1e\u2019s<\/strong>\u00a0Atlanta-centric label\/industry\u00a0Wondaland<\/strong><\/a>, a consortium of talented musicians and artists that includes Jidenna\u00a0<\/strong>(and which we first wrote about six years ago<\/strong><\/a>). After listening to Holographic Lover<\/strong><\/em>, our ears are just glistening! Word to the wise: Mon\u00e1e’s <\/strong>got the Midas touch!<\/p>\n

In all honesty, Nylon<\/strong><\/a> gets the assist here. Mon\u00e1e<\/strong>\u00a0blessed the song, which Nylon<\/strong>\u00a0has disclosed comes from the annual mixtape entitled Love The Free<\/strong><\/em> released by fashionista-DJ\u00a0Cachee Livingston<\/strong> (better known as Kitty Cash<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0as Baby Khaled<\/a><\/strong>).<\/p>\n

St. Beauty<\/strong><\/a> released its EP The Eephus<\/strong><\/em> last August and you can pick it up HERE<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0After getting Holographic<\/strong><\/em>, check out the official video for their great track\u00a0Going Nowhere<\/strong> <\/em>off of The Eephus<\/strong><\/em>.
