We’ve only previously sampled Sampha<\/strong><\/a> as a part of his collabs with\u00a0SBTRKT<\/strong> and, recently, with some dudes named\u00a0Kanye<\/strong> and Drake<\/strong>. But after repeated listens to South London’s\u00a0Sampha’s<\/strong> soulful and lovelorn new track Timmy’s Prayer<\/strong><\/em>, we are now all ears for Sampha<\/strong>-proper. Check it out below. The multifaceted lyrics (check out at bottom) of\u00a0Timmy’s Prayer<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0grab you by the aorta while Sampha<\/strong>\u00a0vocally combines the best from a spectrum that runs from Justin Vernon (Bon Iver)<\/strong>\u00a0to Marvin Gaye. \u00a0<\/strong>Sampha\u00a0brings the melange up to date with effervescent electronic embellishments. Superb stuff. We can’t wait for more from Sampha!<\/strong><\/p>\n
