The well-known Unknown Mortal Orchestra<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0have released a brand new video for their newish song, First World Problem<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(the band’s first new song since last year’s phenom album\u00a0Multi-Love<\/strong><\/em>). \u00a0The new track furthers UMO’s<\/strong> claim to the Post-Prince Throne<\/strong>. \u00a0Leader Ruban Nielson<\/strong> has said this about the song: “I think ‘First World Problem’ is about modern love in a crumbling empire.” \u00a0Crumble on people! \u00a0The song’s lyrics are below the video.<\/p>\n

The music video was directed by James Lees<\/strong> and Kian\u00ed Del Valle\u00a0<\/strong>(who also choreographed and dances in the video). \u00a0Del Valle\u00a0<\/strong>has said this about the video: \u201cI aimed to create a dialogue between two art forms \u2014 film and music. I wanted the video to be a response to the band\u2019s lyrics and musical melodies, rather than showing literally what the song is saying. I am a heavy fan of silent films and how unspoken language could add a second layer to the one we speak.\u201d Layer on people.<\/p>\n
