Same as it ever was. Only a couple of artists have been able to overcome that soul-sucking machine and, with evidence released today, one of them is rising star <a href=\"http:\/\/mosessumney.com\/\"><strong>Moses Sumney<\/strong><\/a>. \u00a0<strong>Sumney<\/strong> has been turning ears with his sensational, yet measured, vocals and guitar playing, while gaining notoriety through contributions to cuts by the likes of\u00a0<strong>James Blake, Andrew Bird, Hundred Waters, Mocky<\/strong>, etc.<\/p>\n<p>Today <strong>Sumney<\/strong> has released his tour-de-vocoder via a new <strong>Allie Avital<\/strong>-directed video for song\u00a0<em><strong>Worth It<\/strong><\/em>. You&#8217;ll hear that there can be beauty in that vocoder beast. Afterwards check out<strong> Sumney&#8217;s<\/strong> quintessential <em><strong>Everlasting Sigh<\/strong><\/em> (lyrics at bottom) with its<strong> Sufjan-Does-Broadway<\/strong> motif and <strong>Sumney&#8217;s<\/strong> scintillating vocals.
