Singing volumes, the<strong> Heads&#8217;<\/strong> superb discography is repeatedly mined by artists for cover songs to repeated success. Take, for example, the live cover below of <em><strong>Slippery People<\/strong> <\/em>by the marvelous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.anti.com\/artists\/mavis-staples\/\"><strong>Mavis Staples<\/strong><\/a> and <strong>Arcade Fire&#8217;s Win Butler<\/strong> and <strong>R\u00e9gine Chassagne<\/strong>, at a concert in Chicago in 2014. An official video of the concert has been released and\u00a0<strong>AXS TV<\/strong> will broadcast it this Sunday (April 16). It&#8217;s also being released on June 2nd as a CD\/DVD by <strong>Blackbird Presents<\/strong>. \u00a0Regardless, watch <strong>Staples<\/strong>, the <strong>Arcadians<\/strong> and big band render a rollicking cover of the superb song below.<\/p>\n<p>Viva la <strong>Talking Heads<\/strong>! Been a few years since we first caught <strong>Talking Heads<\/strong> at the tiny<strong> Backdoor<\/strong> club at <strong>San Diego State University<\/strong> in September 1978 on the tour behind their first album (and many times after).
