Nope. <strong>Aldous Harding<\/strong> is a decidedly female New Zealander whose just-released album <em><strong>Party<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0(on <strong>4AD<\/strong>) was produced by the talented\u00a0<strong>John Parish<\/strong> (<strong>PJ Harvey, Eels, M. Ward, Perfume Genius,Tom Brosseau<\/strong>). Our first introduction to <strong>Harding<\/strong> comes via the recent official video for her beguiling, <strong>Lorde-blessed<\/strong> song <em><strong>Imagining My Man<\/strong><\/em>, which you can watch below. The song opens with <strong>Cat Power\/The National<\/strong> piano tones before introducing <strong>Harding&#8217;s<\/strong> exquisite (<strong>Kate Bush<\/strong>-like) vocals, then backing vocals by <strong>Perfume Genius&#8217;<\/strong>\u00a0busy-boy <strong>Mike Hadreas<\/strong>, and some <em><strong>Wall<\/strong><\/em>-esque kid-group screams of &#8220;Hey!!&#8221; and &#8220;Yes!!&#8221; And oh the mournful sax in the coda.
