This Friday <strong>Waxahatchee<\/strong> will release its new album\u00a0<strong><em>Out In The Storm<\/em> <\/strong>on <strong>Merge<\/strong>. In addition to being produced by gifted producer <strong>John Agnello<\/strong> (<strong>Okkervil River, Kurt Vile, Hop Along, Alyeska, Buffalo Tom, The Hold Steady<\/strong>, etc.), <strong>Crutchfield<\/strong> is joined on the album by her twin sister <strong>Allison Crutchfield<\/strong> and a full band. Evidently, at <strong>Agnello\u2019s<\/strong> suggestion the band recorded most of the music live to enhance their sound and verve compared to past releases. We hear it.<\/p>\n<p>Up until now <strong>Waxahatchee<\/strong> has only shared the simmering new songs <em><strong>Never Been Wrong<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Silver <\/strong><\/em>(listen below). There&#8217;s no revolutionary music here; just great songwriting and powerful delivery by the ensemble, all as enhanced by the <strong>Crutchfields&#8217;<\/strong> harmonies and <strong>Agnello&#8217;s<\/strong> clean production.<\/p>\n<p>Now you can stream the whole album <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.npr.org\/2017\/07\/10\/534316416\/first-listen-waxahatchee-out-in-the-storm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">at NPR<\/a><\/strong>.
