As highlighted previously<\/strong><\/a>, the song is the title track of\u00a0a Carrie & Lowell <\/em><\/strong>\u201cmixtape,\u201d\u00a0which has just been released on\u00a0Asthmatic Kitty<\/strong>. The mixtape includes unreleased outtakes, remixes, and demos from Carrie & Lowell<\/em><\/strong>. A portion of the proceeds from The Greatest Gift <\/em><\/strong>will be donated to Cancer Community Support<\/strong>, which it is said \u201cis dedicated to ensuring that all people impacted by cancer are empowered by knowledge, strengthened by action, and sustained by community.\u201d<\/p>\n

As you can see below, The Greatest Gift<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0is a great reminder from Stevens<\/strong> to give thanks and go gentle in to that bright day and that dark night.
