With its big heart and bigger production, it\u2019s our current front-runner for <strong>Best Album of 2019<\/strong> and its song <strong><em>Seventeen<\/em><\/strong> is our <strong>Best Song of 2019 So Far<\/strong> (though the new album&#8217;s <strong><em>Stay<\/em><\/strong> is a very close second). To get a feel and to prepare for her show this Friday night at the <strong>Ace Theater<\/strong> in LA, check out <strong>Van Etten&#8217;s <\/strong>performance of <strong><em>Seventeen<\/em><\/strong> aired today on <strong><em>Ellen<\/em><\/strong>.  Watch <strong>Van Etten <\/strong>and her phenomenal band&#8217;s (we always love <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.heatherwoodsbroderick.com\/\">Heather Woods Broderick&#8217;s<\/a><\/strong> vocals) explosive performance of <strong><em>Seventeen<\/em><\/strong> below, with its <strong>Patti Smith\/Springsteen<\/strong> echos in which <strong>Van Etten<\/strong> assays her NYC teenage-self and her current state.
