{"id":5327,"date":"2011-07-06T17:42:38","date_gmt":"2011-07-06T17:42:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/?p=5327"},"modified":"2011-07-06T23:04:38","modified_gmt":"2011-07-06T23:04:38","slug":"straight-outta-stillwater-other-lives-and-the-rosebuds-at-soho","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/2011-07\/straight-outta-stillwater-other-lives-and-the-rosebuds-at-soho\/","title":{"rendered":"Straight Outta Stillwater&#8211;Other Lives (and The Rosebuds) at Soho"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-large wp-image-5331\" title=\"OLGuy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/OLGuy1-650x550.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"635\" height=\"537\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/OLGuy1-650x550.jpg 650w, https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/OLGuy1-150x126.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/OLGuy1-450x380.jpg 450w, https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/OLGuy1.jpg 1739w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 635px) 100vw, 635px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We kidnapped a couple of college-bound cousins and sallied down to <strong>Soho<\/strong> last night for a great double bill of Stillwater, Oklahoma&#8217;s <strong>Other Lives<\/strong> and <strong>The Rosebuds<\/strong>, all as presented by <strong>Club Mercy<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>First up was <strong>Other Lives<\/strong>, which consists of\u00a0 leader <strong>Jesse Tabish<\/strong> (above) on guitar and keys, <strong>Jenny Hsu<\/strong> on cello and keyboards, <strong>Jonathon Mooney<\/strong> on piano,violin, guitar and harmonium, <strong>Josh Onstott<\/strong> on bass, organ and trumpet, and <strong>Colby Owens<\/strong> on drums.\u00a0 Their music and songs at times reside in the brooding chamber-pop realm, but they can also make a more raucous, rockish sound driven by Owens powerful drumming and the others&#8217;
