The Jicks on Jimmy Fallon"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Stephen Malkmus &amp; the Jicks<\/strong> performed the previously unheard song, <em><strong>Surreal Teenagers, <\/strong><\/em>on<em><strong> <\/strong><\/em>\u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.latenightwithjimmyfallon.com\/blogs\/2011\/08\/web-exclusive-stephen-malkmus-and-the-jicks-perform-surreal-teenagers\/\">Late Night With Jimmy Fallon\u201d<\/a> Tuesday night.\u00a0 The song is so obscure you can&#8217;t even find it on the new album released last week,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/store.matadorrecords.com\/ole-928\"> <strong>&#8220;Mirror Traffic.&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> Given the less poppy, more proggy, sound, we&#8217;re sure Beck gave it the boot from the album.\u00a0 We can&#8217;t say we blame him (for once).\u00a0 Different strokes, though.\u00a0 <em>Surreal Teenagers <\/em>may be your <em>Pumped Up Kicks<\/em>, if you will.<\/p>\n<p>We prefer the other song they did on Fallon before they played <em>Surreal Teenagers<\/em>, the &#8220;clean&#8221;
