Tapes<\/strong><\/a>, ever since their urgency-riddled debut album, &#8220;<strong>Loon<\/strong>,&#8221; in 2007.\u00a0 Though not favored by the critics, we also enjoyed their Dave Fridmann-produced sophomore album, &#8220;<strong>Walk It Off<\/strong>.<strong>&#8221; <\/strong>And earlier this year the band released it&#8217;s third album, the return-to-full-form &#8220;<strong>Outside<\/strong>,&#8221; which includes three song-subjects performed by the band on a just-released <a href=\"http:\/\/sleepovershows.com\/tapes-n-tapes\"><strong>Sleepover Show<\/strong><\/a> out of Boston.<\/p>\n<p>First check out the great, driving first single off of Outside, <em><strong>Freak Out, <\/strong><\/em>followed by <em><strong>One in the World<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0  Then check out the footstomping acoustic-shuffle delivery of <em><strong>SWM <\/strong><\/em>(following the song lyrics).\u00a0 We like how the lyrical despair in\u00a0 <em><strong>SWM <\/strong><\/em>cuts against the grain of the ostensibly upbeat music<em><strong>. <\/strong><\/em><em><strong> <\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Tapes &#039;n Tapes - Freak Out (Sleepover Shows)\" width=\"635\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/sUdYqRq4VzE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer;
