{"id":8486,"date":"2011-12-11T22:50:33","date_gmt":"2011-12-12T06:50:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/?p=8486"},"modified":"2011-12-14T06:46:17","modified_gmt":"2011-12-14T14:46:17","slug":"best-of-2011-music-videos","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thelefortreport.com\/blog\/2011-12\/best-of-2011-music-videos\/","title":{"rendered":"Best Of 2011&#8211;Music Videos"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As usual, there was something for everyone this year in the music video realm (no live videos included).\u00a0 From the sublime to the ridiculous, to the heart (and soul) of the matter, no pixillated stone was left un-touched or un-tested.\u00a0 Rest assured, though, for those below:\u00a0 talent was exhibited either in the making of the video or in the song, and frequently in both.\u00a0 There were plenty of video moments where the two twined the &#8216;tween.\u00a0 Check out the best of what we saw this year below, not necessarily in quality order and book-ended by two striking Bon Iver videos for two staggering songs.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Bon Iver&#8211;<em>Holocene<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Bon Iver - Holocene - Official Video\" width=\"635\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/TWcyIpul8OE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>PJ Harvey&#8211;<em>The Last Living Rose<\/em><\/strong>:<\/p>\n<p>She won the Mercury Prize for her album, &#8220;Let England Shake,&#8221; and her videos for every song thereon had to have helped the cause.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"PJ Harvey - The Last Living Rose HD\" width=\"635\" height=\"357\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/zh41ANc_tMc?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>tUnE-yArDs&#8211;<em>Bizness<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This band with the infuriating-to-type name was critically acclaimed this year.
