We’ve been smitten with Lost in the Trees<\/strong> ever since we heard their song Fireplace<\/em><\/strong><\/a> in 2010 and made it one of our Best Songs of 2010.\u00a0 The band\u2019s finally about to release a new album entitled, A Church That Fits Our Needs<\/strong>, which is an ambitious work inspired by “loss and transformation.”\u00a0 The group\u2019s writer, composer and singer, Ari Picker<\/strong>, lost his artist mother in 2009 to suicide.\u00a0 Picker has transformed this unfortunate event into an evocative and moving musical celebration. Far from being a somber affair, the classically trained Picker has used propulsive rhythm to inveigh.<\/p>\n
